This may be during meal times, such as at dinner, driving in the car or before you check your phone for the day.
My kids love when it’s their turn to choose a card. At this point you can just start the discussion there OR you can choose a variation such as telephone or take turns with each person giving one word each to the answer.
It’s that simple, yet often we don’t take action because we feel like we need to prepare or wait until the time is right. With these cards, there is a variety in what is discussed and it is easy to create a habit of talking about the gospel because all you need is the cards. Any time you don’t know an answer then that gives you an opportunity to look it up as a family.
It might take time for your family to feel comfortable opening up. However, the more consistent you are, the easier it becomes. The more we talk about the gospel in the home, the more comfortable we feel about talking about the gospel. Start small and work your way up.Â
Pro Tip: Keep the cards where you can easily be reminded to use them
“I have been using the cards made for personal and/or family study of October General Conference talks. I love them! There are two cards per talk, and each card contains a quote from that talk and a question to ponder. I personally like to read the talk first and then use the cards.
